Shield: 15th Century reproduction of a footmans pavise based on a similar piece held by the rusthammer museum in Germany, I have altered construction a little for SCA combat the brackets on the back are aluminium for weight reduction and are a little longer and thicker for increased durability. The paint finish is clear coated and is based on my heraldic colours with my precedence of fealty starting at the bottom leading upwards. The shield is designed to be used center grip but also has straps for war scenarios.
