Finding something that inspires you will help alot with all you do in life and more so when it comes to combat. Getting out there and doing it, is by far the most important part; It doesn't matter if you come first or last getting "stuck in" is most of the battle.
Fail, make a fool of yourself (I have done this many times) and will continue to, but it won't ever stop me from trying, I hope you will too.
Inspiration can be many many things, your consort, a movie, a historical figure or even an idea (like a husk of wheat exploding(old joke sorry)), for me it's a poem, if I may by Robert Frost;
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
The path less traveled, is my inspiration for all I do in life. It may not be as bloody as 300 spartans or William Marshal (the perfect knight) but to me no less inspiring.
